anti-mitochondrial antibody, LKM does not stain rodent stomach. |

liver with LKM antibody. Nuclei are counterstained red with ethidium

Specific staining is seen in the
cytoplasm of proximal renal tubules but not in distal. |

Disease: LKM antibodies are strongly associated with type 2 autoimmune
hepatitis. |
